mingyu is as pouty as he is competitive. when he realizes that your attention is halved among the members, he makes it his personal mission to prove that he's just as fun to hang out with. maybe even more. he's a little ridiculous in his attempts of one-upping the rest of the group, and you're only half-aware of what he's doing because he tries his best to act cool about it. when he eventually confesses, he'll probably scratch the back of his neck and say something along the lines of "i'm surprised you didn't clock me."

seokmin, the sweetheart that he is, would be unable to really outwardly show off how jealous he is. he understands why his members want to be around you— hell, he wants to! he probably gives way a little more often than he should, but at the smallest indication of your interest, at any sliver of a chance that you give him, he'll jump at the chance. if he teases you a bit, it's only really an attempt to deflect how thrilled he is to hold your attention.

minghao, for the most part, is a rational man. he knows he's jealous but he knows he also doesn't really have the right to be. instead, he'll leave you reminders of him in smaller, more conscious ways. he's a big believer in intent, and so he pushes down the negative feeling and focuses on what he does have control over. out of everyone in the maknae line, he's the most likely to outright ask you out.

seungkwan deals with his jealousy in a roundabout way: ragging on his members. he'll jokingly present himself as the 'nicest' out of everyone, urging you to not indulge the rest of his hyungs. it's his way of trying to convince you to give him a little more of your attention. when he finally does get the courage to ask you out, he'll shyly apologize for his backhand tactics. "i just really wanted you to look my way," he'll confess.

how the fuck is vernon supposed to deal with something like this? he's used to being laidback, being in control of himself. and you've just— knocked him off his feet. he's likely to communicate it through jokes— relevant songs, poorly-made memes— until he gets over the feeling. later down the line, he'll mention it as a postscript. something like, "you know, i had a thing for you and i hated all the boys for a bit. but, eh, 's whatever."

chan doesn't see the point in beating around the bush. when his envy first rears its head, he's already rushing to let you know why he spent half the day glaring at the other members. but, in some ways, chan's confession isn't a move. it's just a way of him getting the feeling out of his chest, because why bother? if anything— he's putting the ball in your court. you know he likes you that way. what are you going to do about it?

Revisions from JWCT Season 2 Finale's Ending Sequence [boarded by Jiedi @tio-trile].

I mentioned in a previous post that Jiedi did a magnificent job with the boards & I'm going to do it again here. Approaching revisions for these intense emotional beats felt very fluid as she had set us up for success with this final sequence (you'll find a few of her drawings in here).

Navigating my drawings for the airstrip reunion sequence was a whole lotta: "how is each member of the N6 feeling in this situation, after everything? How did Brooklynn's death affect them individually?" what relationship did they each share with Brooklynn and what does this discovery mean for them? What kind of acting here will create a satisfying & convincing conclusion to this long emotional arc?"

This season means a lot to me. There was a lot of shit going on in my life when I was on this show. I was often at my limit - mentally, emotionally, but I always tried to stay the course, remain composed/effective, and find ways to channel whatever relevant feelings/emotions that I had into our characters. I hope that our audience was able to feel some of that.
